MP drops into LATH
Crewe and Nantwich MP, Connor Naismith visited the LATH drop-in session on Thursday 27th August to see for himself the work that LATH do in the community. Connor, not his first visit to LATH, spent the morning at the Caritas Centre in Crewe talking to charity trustees, volunteers and clients and witnessing the programme of services provided by LATH. In particular, he talked to many of the clients about the homelessness issues they were experiencing and support they were receiving. Conor also saw the meal preparation, clothing distribution and service provision from the amazing team of LATH volunteers.
Mick Tobin, LATH Chairman, said, ‘it’s great to see our local MP take an active interest in the problems of homelessness here in Crewe and Nantwich. As a small local charity, we know only too well what the impact of homelessness has on the health and wellbeing of our clients. We will be working with Connor and Cheshire East Council to look at what more can be done to alleviate this problem and help the most vulnerable in our community’.
