Since 2009, we have helped to ease the plight of the homeless in Crewe and Nantwich with the long-term aim of eliminating it altogether.
LATH is a group of volunteers with a variety of backgrounds and skills, who devote
their time to caring for homeless, needy and vulnerable people in the Crewe and Nantwich area.
LATH can provide a tent and a sleeping bag for anyone sleeping rough, or possibly up to three night’s hotel accommodation (if available), and subsequent assistance towards finding suitable housing. We liaise closely with other established charitable bodies and agencies, along with Cheshire East Council, to find solutions to a wide range of problems encountered.
We currently operate a drop-in centre in Crewe twice a week from 10:00 to 13:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at St Mary’s Caritas Centre , 65 Delamere Street, Crewe, CW1 2JX. We provide for basic food needs and deliver a comprehensive range of advice and assistance.
The success of our efforts depends entirely on the support of local businesses, members of the community, volunteers and ‘Friends of LATH’.
