Mayor visits LATH
Crewe Mayor, Councillor Stuart Mackay recently made a visit to Crewe and Nantwich charity LATH, to see and experience the work and impact of the charity in the local community.
The Mayor spent time speaking to LATH volunteers gaining an understanding of the work they do every week at the Caritas Centre in Crewe. He was impressed by the breath of their outreach work for the homeless and people in need. At the drop-in session the Mayor met many of the clients and spent time chatting and understanding their challenges and current difficulties.
LATH Chair, Mick Tobin said, ‘it was great to welcome the Mayor of Crewe to one of our drop-in sessions and for him to see and experience the work we do every week in this town. I was particularly pleased to see many of our clients engage with him and have their voices heard’.
The Mayor’s visit came shortly after Crewe and Nantwich MP Connor Naismith also visited LATH a few weeks earlier.
